Description:
Two-days-and-a-half training based on a ‘learn-by-doing’ methodology.
Judges and prosecutors from three different EU Member States will be involved in a simulation of the different stages of a case, inspired by real facts and involving both national and cross-border judicial cooperation. Participants will comment on the practical cases according to their national legal systems and, most importantly, learn about their colleagues’ systems in counterpart Member States. The simulation will call for the use of EU instruments of mutual legal assistance and recognition, and participants will be assisted by international and national experts, EJN contact points and EUROJUST representatives.
Target audience:
Judges and prosecutors from Lithuania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania with no or little experience in judicial cooperation in criminal matters and/or in dealing with cross-border criminal cases. This is an introductory seminar.
