The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) is glad to announce the upcoming webinars:

  • Matrimonial property regimes and property consequences of registered partnerships 
    – organised under the EJTN Civil Justice portfolio.
  • THE EPPO: investigations and prosecutions to fight crimes against the financial interests of the EU
    – organised under the EJTN Criminal Justice portfolio

Each webinar will last approximately 90 minutes as follows:

10 minutes introduction
60 minutes presentation
20 minutes for questions and answers

Webinar on Matrimonial property regimes and property consequences of registered partnerships:

The webinar will take place on Thursday 10th of December 2020 at 10.00 am (CET) Brussels time.

On 29th of January 2019 the two EU Regulations on matrimonial property and the property consequences of registered partnership became applicable. The Regulation was adopted under the procedure of enhanced cooperation by 18 EU members states. The webinar will guide participants through the regulations.

Professor Cristina G. Beilfuss (University of Barcelona) will guide the participants through the regulations.

Webinar on The EPPO: investigations and prosecutions to fight crimes against the financial interests of the EU:

The webinar will take place on Tuesday 8th of December 2020 at 10.00 am (CET) Brussels time.

This webinar is aimed at raising awareness and providing a better understanding of the creation and recent setting up of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO): a unique EU body called to play a key role in the Criminal Justice panorama with powers to investigate, prosecute and bring to judgement offences against the Union’s financial interests.

Judges and prosecutors called to cooperate with EPPO and preferably those involved or to be involved in economic and financial investigations, corruption and fraud cases, judicial cooperation in criminal matters, cross-border investigations and prosecutions are invited to join us.

Professor Babek Peter Oshidari, Supreme Court Justice-Vienna-Austria will be our presenter. The webinar will be moderated by Peta Wagner, Senior Prosecutor, Office of the Prosecutor General in Munich.
