The EJTN 1hour lunch time webinar series in the format 1 topic/1 expert/1 hour on the impact of COVID-19 on different legal issues  continues!

The upcoming episode, composed of 30 min presentation and Q/A session, is scheduled on the 10th of September at h13.00 CEST and it will address the topic of Tax law challenges in the Covid-19 pandemic.  

The Speaker, Mrs Maria Papadopoulou, Judge at the First Instance Administrative Court of Thessaloniki (Greece), will provide with an outline of the tax relief measures adopted so far by the EU, the underpinning policy issues, and the contribution of international organisations in this context as well as state aid issues. She will express her remarks on the effect of the pandemic and the containment measures taken on cross border situations and the application of tax treaties. Participants will reflect and discuss on the challenges created by the Covid- 19 crisis in terms of tax law policy and attempt to assess its impact so far.
