Judiciary Learning Grant Programme

The Judiciary Learning Grant Programme allows EU Member State judges, prosecutors and judicial trainers the autonomy to self-identify and create individualised learning opportunities. EJTN supports the accepted proposals by providing recipients with funds for their travel and daily expenses.

HOW TO APPLY?

Interested? The next application period will be open mid-January 2023.

Each application must include the grant proposal, sending agreement and hosting agreement. The submitted proposals are assessed based on a scoring rubric.

Please find below a summary table of the activity steps for accepted participant in the programme.

BEFORE THE ACTIVITY
Participant


At the latest 1 month before the starting date of the activity, the participant must:

  1. Read the Financial Conditions for Judiciary Learning Grant Programme and Frequently Asked Questions

  2. Make his/her travel arrangements

  3. Complete the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM by using the individual link received by email

  4. Check with his/her employer that he/she will remain covered during the whole training period by the social security scheme applicable to the concerned national administration and that the latter will support the health expenses incurred abroad

  5. Make sure that he/she is insured against accident, death and invalidity risks

DURING THE ACTIVITY

The Participant shall respect the terms and conditions of the programme (training schedule, content).

AFTER THE ACTIVITY
Participant


Within 1 month after the activity, the participant must complete the post-activity reimbursement procedure on the Exchange Programme online platform by using the individual link received by email:

  1. Complete the ONLINE EVALUATION FORM

  2. Complete the ONLINE STATEMENT OF COSTS

  3. Upload the travel expenses documents: COPY OF BOARDING PASSES and FLIGHT, TRAIN AND BUS TICKETS; Only if the ticket does not clearly show the amount claimed, please also include the INVOICE from the travel agency or the airline. If travel by car: EXTRACT FROM GOOGLE MAPS to prove itinerary

Within 3 months after the activity and provided that the file is complete, EJTN makes the final payment to the participant.

Participant


Within 6 months after the activity, the participant must complete the SECOND ONLINE EVALUATION FORM on the Exchange Programme online platform by using the individual link received by email.

This second evaluation asks detailed feedback and observations from the recipients of a grant on their experience or accomplishments as well as their ability to disseminate their knowledge.

Within 7 months after the activity and provided that the second online evaluation form is completed
, EJTN sends the certificate of participation to the participant.
